Small change: find the light

Transformation is a terribly serious business a lot of the time, isn’t it?

Fair enough, you might say. Job security, career trajectories, and shareholder cash are often on the line. And, of course, the right way forward can be difficult to discern. Furrowed brows are the least we might expect.

But approaching everything with a super-serious attitude can mean that opportunities for breakthroughs get missed. Bringing levity to proceedings can enable fresh insights to emerge, replenish energy, and help teams to bond.

While, rightly, the notion of “organised fun” brings most of us out in hives, there are many other ways in which humour, playfulness or creativity can enable a breakthrough in even the most serious circumstances.

Something to consider: where can I find the light, and in so doing illuminate the path ahead?
