It has been said that a truth tastes bitter in the beginning but sweet in the end. A lie has the opposite characteristics.

So it is in change. As a leader, the choice is not between whether or not to deal with an uncomfortable situation. Rather, it is a question of when.

Avoiding dealing with issues might taste sweet, but it does not make them go away. Unresolved problems compound like interest. When the bill falls due, we often regret not having paid it sooner.

Something to consider: what problems am I avoiding addressing, and at what eventual cost?
