Small change: raise a glass

This month, Corporate Punk turns ten. Not bad for an experiment in work that we thought might last for six months if we were lucky.

In honour of this, here are ten things we’ve learned about people in the last decade.

  1. No one gets out of bed to do a bad job
  2. Behaviour is never personal
  3. In the absence of communication, people will always believe the worst or the weirdest thing
  4. You can be efficient with everything but people
  5. Everyone at work is only ever doing what they deem is necessary to survive
  6. If you allow it, people will show you who they are
  7. Your team isn’t resistant to change, it’s resistant to change being done to it
  8. Where possible, it’s better to make people better not redundant
  9. Hurt people can’t think
  10. Positive challenge almost always unleashes positive energy

Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. We’ll raise a glass to you.

Something to consider: what has your last decade taught you?
