And now for something a bit different.

A few months ago we were invited to write a blog article by the Business Culture Awards. We chose “kindness” as our theme. It’s a word you hear increasingly often in business. But it’s not without its difficulties, which are often grounded in a misunderstanding of what kindness actually is.

We’ve decided to share the article with you, too.

The bottom line: the kind thing to do is not always the nice thing to do. And getting good at kindness means mastering a number of leadership concepts — and being prepared for some bloody hard work.
