Change takes time. It isn’t easy. It’s tiring for everyone involved. We all know this stuff.

But what most of us don’t internalise quite as well is that any change process will also have its moments of breakthrough. Some of them will be small, some large. It might be a meeting that goes better than expected; a team member finally embracing the transformation process; a target that gets exceeded beyond anyone’s wildest imagination.

And every single one of these moments is worthy of celebration. Why? Big or small, celebrations help you and everyone around you demonstrate that success is achievable. In so doing they counterbalance the narrative that change is soul-sapping, and inspire energy, optimism, and belief.
