Small change: it didn’t come to stay

It came to pass, it didn’t come to stay.

Like all crises, the one we’re in now is impermanent. Negative economic performance will turn positive. Bad sales periods will be followed by good ones. Bust will be followed by boom.

An important task facing leaders is to recognise this fact — and manage your own and others’ emotions accordingly. Focusing on the big picture as well as the pixels creates a sense of balance. It can bring a welcome sense of perspective to decision-making, even when the chips are down.
