Small change: repetition, repetition, repetition

Most organisations exhibit a bias to action: they have a drive to Get Stuff Done. While this can be a healthy behaviour, it has its shadows. One is that leaders can be disinclined to repeat themselves. “We’ve already told them what they need to know,” they say. “We need to crack on.”
This ignores the fact that learning and information retention is a challenge for most of us. It’s not a question of willing or intelligence, but the fact that in a fast-paced, information-dense world there’s only so much that any of us can keep in our heads. But if we don’t understand something, we can’t participate in it.
As we always say to leaders: the moment when you’re sick to death of saying something is the moment that it’s probably started to land.

Something to consider: where is repetition my friend?
